Game Begins for Sustainable Development Goals
(Projet Nr.: 2022-1-DE04-KA210-YOU-000081404)

Project Overview

Game Begins for Sustainable Development Goals is a 16-month small-scale-partnership project (01.09.2022 - 31.12.2023), co-funded by the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union. The project aims at increasing knowledge and skills of young individuals and youth workers on UN SDGs by using educational game-based methods and tools.

The youth of today will be the most important generation in the transformation of Europe to a sustainable future. The youth organizations are crucial for introducing basic and new knowledge on sustainability and sustainable development goals. With our project, we aim to curate and adapt various games (including card and board games, digital games and indoor / outdoor games) and use them to improve the knowledge of the youth on sustainability and SDGs. With this online training tool, our objective is to provide youth workers with a pool of curated games focusing on sustainability and SDGs that can be easily applied in their educational activities. The tool also stands as an information source on sustainability for the target audience of our project.

Throughout the project, partners curated, tested and adapted various types of games related to UN SDGs. The games presented on this online training tool include games developed by international actors from the field of sustainable development or by the project partners. We are happy to provide young people and youth workers with an open educational source that has gathered various games, as well as guidelines and good practices on how to facilitate them.
